Never bargain in front of your guide/cab driver
As they say, even guides and drivers get commissions if they bring customers to the market or any specific shop. So, be it Dal Lake or shopping in main market, avoid setting up negotiation deal in front of your cab driver, because its not going to work. Although it is important for your safety to take a local along with you while go for shopping but things will be expensive and tough in front of him.
